TERMS OF SERVICE

PlateFlow is a trademark and trading name of 56SV Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17323675). Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

These terms are the deal between 56SV Ltd ("we", "us", "PlateFlow") and the business that opens a PlateFlow account ("you"). Signing up, or using the service, means you accept them. PlateFlow is built for businesses in the UK plate trade — it isn't a consumer service.

1. What PlateFlow is

Software for running a number-plate business: a job queue, component stock, supplier ordering, invoicing, VAT figures, a digital Register of Number Plate Suppliers record (RIO), and related tools. Garages may be given free portal access to order plates from a shop they already trade with.

2. Accounts

• Keep your email secure — sign-in codes go there, so whoever controls your inbox controls your account. Tell us at once if you think your account is compromised.
• You're responsible for what's done under your account and for the accuracy of what you enter.
• One person may hold several business profiles; each business is a separate tenant with its own data.

3. Trials, fees and non-payment

• New shop and supplier accounts get a 30-day free trial. No card is needed to start.
• After trial, the standard price is £39/month per business (or £390/year — two months free) unless we've agreed something different with you in writing (including free arrangements). One flat price regardless of how many plates you press — we don't take a cut of your success. We can change standard pricing on at least 30 days' notice — changes never apply mid-trial or retrospectively.
• Garage portal accounts are free.
• One trial per person or business. Attempts to obtain extra trials — including email alias variations — may be blocked or removed.
• If a trial or subscription lapses, your account goes read-only after a short grace period: you can see and export everything, but not create new work. Your statutory records (RIO) and tax records remain viewable and exportable regardless — we will never hold your legal records hostage.
• Accounts read-only for over 12 months may be closed after notice, with a final export offered first.

4. Your data, our role

• Everything you enter stays yours. We process it only to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
• You can export your records (CSV/PDF) at any time.
• We take backups and treat your data carefully, but you should keep your own copies of statutory exports — see §6.

5. Acceptable use

Don't: use PlateFlow for anything unlawful (including supplying plates in breach of DVLA registration requirements), attempt to access other tenants' data, probe or overload the service, resell access without our agreement, or send unlawful marketing through it. We may suspend accounts that do, and we'll tell you why.

6. Compliance — the important honest bit

• PlateFlow helps you keep records the law requires (RIO register, VAT figures). It does not make you compliant by itself and it is not legal, tax or accounting advice.
• You remain responsible for: your registration on the DVLA Register of Number Plate Suppliers (including your Supplier Identity Number and any additional outlets), checking original identity and entitlement documents — not photocopies or images — before supplying road plates, recording traceable document reference numbers, the accuracy of your RIO entries, marking plates to BS AU 145e, and your VAT returns. The "show plate" option records a sale as off-road use only — it is your responsibility to use it honestly.
• Your supply records must be kept for three years and be available to the police, DVLA, DVSA and Trading Standards, whose officers may inspect without notice. PlateFlow keeps those records exportable at all times so you stay inspection-ready.
• VAT figures reflect what's recorded in PlateFlow. If you buy or sell outside the platform, those figures are incomplete until you add the rest.

7. Service, availability and changes

We aim to keep PlateFlow up and fast, but it's provided "as available" — we don't promise uninterrupted service, and we may maintain, update or improve it (we'll flag anything disruptive in advance where we can). Features marked as previews or placeholders may change or be withdrawn.

8. Intellectual property

We own PlateFlow — the software, design and brand. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your account is in good standing. You keep all rights in your data.

9. Liability

• Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence — the law doesn't allow that and we wouldn't try.
• Otherwise, our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period (or £100 if you paid nothing).
• We're not liable for indirect losses — lost profits, lost business, fines arising from your own compliance failures — or for events outside our reasonable control.

10. Ending things

You can close your account whenever you like — export your records first, and we'll delete personal data per the Privacy Policy (statutory retention aside). We can terminate for material breach of these terms on notice, or immediately for serious misuse (§5).

11. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If a clause is found unenforceable the rest stand. We may update these terms on 30 days' notice via the app or email; continued use after that is acceptance.
